The official court listing confirms the division and current public contact details. A docket can show bail, recognizance, a warrant, dismissal, sentence, time served, probation, or a commitment order. It may explain why police could release or transport the person.
The docket does not normally establish the exact minute when police completed a local release or transfer. Reconcile it with the police event record. If the docket shows a commitment and BCSO admits the person, the later sheriff record controls any release from the county facility.
North Adams Lockup Records
A focused records request should describe existing records. Ask for the booking or arrest-processing entry, local custody start and end times, release authority, release type, transport log, and destination agency. If a booking photograph matters, request it as a separate record tied to the same episode. Avoid asking the records officer to research the whole case or decide what legally happened.
Useful identifiers include the full legal name, date of birth if needed to distinguish the person, arrest date, incident number, booking number, OBTN, and court docket. Ask BCSO for the booking entry, actual release date, coded release type, and destination if the sheriff later released or transferred the person. State release definitions include community outcomes such as bail, recognizance, time served, probation, and parole, but they also include release to another agency and transfer. The destination field is therefore essential.
The official BCSO records-request page identifies the county request route. It should not be used for a North Adams police-only hold that never reached the sheriff. Send each request to the office that created the event.

No North Adams Release Archive

The active county correctional complex is on Cheshire Road in Pittsfield. It replaced the old Second Street jail in 2001.
